Memory Device Works in Wet Environment - A New Invention

There are always some exceptions in nature. Normally,an electronic of any kind can be easily destroyed when pour some water on it in such a way that it seeps into the circuitry. But a group of scientists from North Carolina State University has developed a new device (a memory device) that works in wet environments. This device was built out of gallium and indium metals set into water-based gels.Though more researches need to be done on it but this memory solution has a great aspect which is its bio-availability.Please find the comments of the researchers:

“We’ve created a memory device with the physical properties of Jell-O,” says Dr. Michael Dickey, an assistant professor of chemical and bio molecular engineering at NC State and co-author of a paper describing the research.

“Our memory device is soft and pliable, and functions extremely well in wet environments – similar to the human brain.”

“These properties may be used for biological sensors or for medical monitoring,” Dickey says.
