Speed Up Windows Start Menu Items in Windows XP

Step 1:

Right click on an open area of the Desktop.

Step 2:

Select Properties

Step 3:

Click on the Appearance tab

Step 4:

Click on the Effects button

Step 5:

Uncheck Show shadows under menus

Step 6:

You are done.
