Automatically End Non-Responsive Tasks in Windows XP

Step 1:

Go to Start Menu ---> Run Dialogue Box and type regedit

Step 2:

Press Enter. The Group Policy window will be appeared.

Step 3:

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks

Step 4:

Set the value as 1.

Step 5:

change the WaitToKillAppTimeout to the number of milliseconds you want.

Step 6:

Close Registry & Restart for changes to take effect.
